Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Development role within District Nursing; we are seeking an experienced, innovative and enthusiastic Band 5 staff nurse. This role provides a unique opportunity for an individual to develop leadership and management skills while supported by the Cluster Co-Ordinator.
The successful candidate will manage a caseload and lead a team of Community Staff Nurses, Nursing Associates and Health Care Assistants to deliver high quality care to patients in their own homes.
The post will initially be temporary and will be extended if within 2 years, the successful candidate has obtained History taking and clinical Skills certificate, attended the LEO course and completed an academic leadership course. They should also be able to demonstrate leadership and operational management for the team/service.
Essential criteria includes:
- Adult Nursing registration (active)
- Practice Assessor status
- Car driver with appropriate business insurance

Main duties of the job
Act as support to senior sister and team members
