Job summary
The Newcastle City Loan Equipment Service is responsible for the timely delivery and collection of equipment to assist daily living activities to Newcastle City residents' addresses.
We are based at the Geoffrey Rhodes Centre in Byker and are looking for two permanent Part Time Band 2 Clerical Officers/Receptionists to join our friendly team. Both posts are required to work over 5 days, Monday to Friday- one post will be 08:30-12:30 and the other 12:15 - 16:15.

Main duties of the job
It is a small but busy service and these posts are often a first point of contact for service users and staff thus the posts are suited for people who have great interpersonal skills and enjoy assisting people.
The work is varied but the focus is answering calls from service users and colleagues to arrange collections of equipment using the in-house software system and booking repairs and service visits. Good organisational skills come in to play to maintain equipment records and record data necessary for the effective operation of the loan equipment databases.
