Radiology Recruitment Day 2025- we welcome applications from student Radiographers qualifying in summer 2025 and any qualified Radiographers for these posts. An exciting opportunity has arisen for full time Band 5 Radiographers to work within the Radiology Department of the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The Department offers a broad range of modalities and full training will be provided to the successful candidates.
The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides patient centred care across the city of Newcastle upon Tyne. There are two main hospital sites at the Royal Victoria Infirmary and Freeman Hospital, as well as several Community Outreach Centres. The Freeman Hospital houses the Institute of Transplantation, Renal Services and the Northern Centre for Cancer Care. The Royal Victoria Infirmary incorporates the Great North Trauma and Emergency Centre and the Great North Children's Hospital.

Main duties of the job
The Radiology Department delivers high quality imaging across a range of modalities using a patient centred approach. The successful candidates would be expected to work as part of a team based at one of the Trust main sites, providing imaging across a range of modalities including intraoperative screening. They would also be expected to participate in the out of hours service within their base hospital, which requires a commitment to working autonomously within a busy environment. There would be a requirement to operate a wide range of modalities once appropriate training has been completed.
Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills are essential and knowledge of the current radiation legislation is required.
