Are you a HCPC registered radiographer looking for some experience in Nuclear Medicine?
An opportunity has arisen to join our team of Nuclear Medicine Clinical Technologists based at University Hospital of Hartlepool on a fixed term basis for 12 months. You will contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive Nuclear Medicine service delivering approximately 4,000 patient examinations per year.
SPECT-CT is undertaken in an expanding number of examinations and there is an on-site radiopharmacy. Extended five day working (Monday to Friday 07:00 - 19:45) utilising a 7.5 hour-long 5 shift rota will beexpected.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will put patient care at the centre of their work and demonstrate excellent team working skills. Working at other sites within the Department will occasionally be required.
Nuclear Medicine services at Darlington, Durham and Hartlepool are provided by the Northern Medical Physics and Clinical Engineering Directorate of Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals. The team of 31 technologists, nurses, clinical scientists, admin staff, radiologists and cardiologists work collaboratively across the three sites, and have a strong history of staff development and training. Opportunities for role development and ongoing training will be available for the right candidate.

- A good knowledge and understanding of all relevant safety principles, standards and legislation applied to the clinical use of radioactive material & associated physiological measurement equipment in the UK e.g. ECG recording.
Desirable

- Some knowledge of the physics and engineering principles involved in the operation of complex nuclear medicine equipment
- Knowledge of urodynamics studies.
