Job summary
We are delighted to be able to offer an opportunity for a highly motivated, ambitious individual to join our well integrated team.
These posts are well suited but not limited - to Junior Doctors-in-training, wanting to have exposure to Paediatric Cardiology with aim to enhance their experience for career progression or as out-of-programme experience. The post provides exposure to all aspects of Congenital Heart Disease.
Two posts full-time (40hrs per week) fixed term to commence 7 August 2024 until 5 August 2025 with possibility of extension for another 12 months.
Two posts part time (20hrs per week) fixed term for an initial period of six months commencing as soon as possible.
During the appointment, you will be attached to the Paediatric Cardiology Ward covering inpatient care, participating in ward rounds with senior colleagues and involved with outpatient day cases. During your time, you will also be encouraged to attend all areas of the unit including cardiac theatres, catheter laboratory, echo department and weekly case discussions. There is a formal teaching within the department including participation in journal club.

To care for patients with Congenital Heart Diseases and patients in heart failure pre and post heart transplantation.

To meet those needs some staff groups will be increasingly asked to work a more flexible work pattern so that they can offer services in the evening or weekend.
