Job summary
The department is excited to be able to offer a new opportunity for a reliable, enthusiastic, hardworking individual to work as an Audiology Clinical Care Co-coordinator within the audiology service. The role will be varied and involve undertaking a range of administrative tasks to support the service. Experience of using Auditbase, Allocate, Excel and Medirota would be advantageous but not essential as full training would be given. The post holder will be required to work autonomously, cope well under pressure, possess excellent communication and organizational skills. A cheery positive disposition is essential to this role.

Triage incoming calls, using a risk assessment framework and initiate appropriate response according to protocols and individual pathways, using good communication skills, basic clinical awareness and appropriate tools and procedures, liaising as appropriate when non routine and refer complex decisions to the team for assessment and review.
Document and monitor all aspects of care coordination and service delivery, supporting data collection for audit
Coordinate the care for a defined group of patients assessed by a registered practitioner.
Organise and prioritise the designated workload in relation to identified needs
Coordinate the handover with other teams to facilitate safe and effective transition of care between services in order to provide seamless support for people
Coach patients and carers on how to make contact when they feel that their condition or needs have changed, including what to do out of hours
Ensure protocols for audiology are up to date
Please note it is a requirement of The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that all successful candidates who require a DBS for the post they have been offered pay for their DBS certificate.The method of payment is a salary deduction from your first months pay.
