Job summary
Following recent staffing and management changes, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Nursing Midwifery and Allied Health Professional to join our busy and dynamic resuscitation team. We provide high quality resuscitation training and education to all staff across the trust and community services. We have access to new and spacious training facilities. Training delivery is in line with Resuscitation Council Guidelines.

Main duties of the job
- You will teach, lead and evaluate a range of adult and paediatric resuscitation courses to all levels of staff across the trust depending on clinical requirements. These range from the deteriorating patient, resuscitation awareness up to basic and advanced life support.
- Following an induction period you will be required to attend adult and paediatric cardiac arrest calls.
- You will carry out training needs analysis, course planning, course evaluation, audits and act as a subject matter expert to advise staff on resuscitation issues as they arise.

- Provide basic life support training (adult and paediatric) to all levels and disciplines of staff across the Trust.
- Will provide intermediate and advanced life support training to appropriate groups of staff.
- The post holder will assist in maintaining resuscitation equipment requirements by ordering supplies through standard ordering procedures.

- Qualified Registered Nurse/ODP
- Valid NMC/HCPC registration or equivalent
- Qualified to diploma or degree level in a related subject or equivalent specialist study/experience
- Trained and qualified to Certificate of Education, or comparable award.
- Has successfully completed a Resuscitation Course ALS (Advanced Life Support) / one of the advanced paediatric life support courses (APLS / EPLS).
- Will be expected to undertake and maintain provider status in one of the above courses and work towards instructor status.
