Job summary
The successful candidate will join an established multidisciplinary team working across Primary and Secondary care. They will contribute to the day-to-day operation of the respiratory virtual ward and the Newcastle home oxygen assessment and review service.
The candidate should be enthusiastic and keen to develop their knowledge and skills. After a period of peer-support they should be confident to make clinical decisions and be prepared to work independently in the community visiting patients at home. This is an excellent learning and development opportunity for a clinician interested in a specialist role.
This is a fixed term post to cover maternity leave 18 March 2024 - 17 March 2025.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will make a constructive and positive contribution to team discussions and meetings. They will be prepared to share their knowledge and experience in order to support and promote learning and development amongst their peers. They should be willing to contribute to audit and service review, and be receptive to changing working practices in relation to the evolving needs of our patient population.
A high standard of safe and effective, evidence based patient care is essential, and the candidate will work in accordance with local and national guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure this is achieved.
