Due to internal promotion, within the Occupational Therapy Department based at the regional neurosciences and neurology unit based at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, we have a exciting opportunity for a Band 3 OT Technical Instructor to join our inpatient team.
Applicants should have technical qualifications e.g NVQ Level III Diagnostic and Therapeutic Care or equivalent/work experience and have previous experience in Stroke, Neurology or transferable skills into this rehabilitation setting, previous experience of working as therapy assistant would be desirable and also experience of working within a team. Good organisational, time management skills and the ability to work both independently and within the team would also be desirable.

Main duties of the job
As a technical instructor within this team, you be expected to carry a caseload of patients independently, completing rehabilitation and treatment plans as directed by our already existing therapy team based on the unit, and also work alongside the OT Team to deliver high quality inpatient rehabilitation, treating patient with a wide variety of specialist neurological conditions to include Head Injury, Parkinson's Disease, MS, MND, SAH plus more, you will also be expected to occasionally work into our Hyperacute Stroke Unit also based at the RVI..
