The Peri-operative and Critical Care Clinical Board are delighted to offer an exciting secondment opportunity to manage over 54 Operating Theatres, 64 Adult Critical Care Beds, Anaesthetic Departments, Pre assessment Services at RVI and Freeman, Chronic and Acute Pain Management, Home Ventilation Service, Post Anaesthetic Care Unit and Sterile Services Departments. The post holder will have experience in a senior manager role, ideally with knowledge and experience of surgical or theatre services and a passion for collaborative working in order to ensure we deliver the highest quality services and outcomes to our patients.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring delivery of our ambitious cross site Theatre Improvement Programme through strategic and operational leadership, regular engagement with stakeholders and line management of members of the Board management team. The post holder will develop effective partnerships with clinical and non-clinical staff and help create an environment within which all staff working in Peri-operative and Critical Care services have the opportunity to influence the planning, management and development of all our services. The post holder will also deputise for the Director of Operations as required.
The ADO is responsible to the Director of Operations for the Clinical Board for ensuring the efficient and effective use of resources in delivering high quality patient centred care within their area(s) of responsibility within the Clinical Board.

- Significant budgetary and staff management experience
- Delivery of productivity improvements in conjunction with clinical and other colleagues
- Experience in service marketing, promoting unique qualities of own service, and delivering a successful service strategy to capture market share
