The Dental Hospital Radiology department is looking to recruit a Senior Dental Radiographer to join our busy, friendly team. You will join at a time of exciting change with the department edging towards full digitisation. The department has a high teaching commitment to a range of Dental students.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Radiographer wishing to extend their skills and expertise whilst working in a team-based environment.
Experience of Dental Radiography would be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
Applicants for the above post must hold a degree or equivalent qualification in Diagnostic Radiography, be HCPC registered and have working knowledge of NHS policies and procedures.
This is a part-time post.
The core week is Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:00, no late nights, or weekends.

Main duties of the job
Your main duties will include teaching undergraduate dental students, dental nurses, Hygiene/Therapy Students, dental hygienists, MSc students, post graduate revision students and student Radiographers in the technical application of intra-oral radiography, panoramic radiography, Cone Beam CT, cephalometric radiography and assisting the Consultant Radiologist with ultrasound and Sialography.
You will be required to work autonomously within a small dedicated specialist team delivering a high quality efficient and effective radiographic service for both the dental hospital and the local community.
You will provide a high standard of diagnostic imaging to a wide range of patients and be aware of and participate in current technological advances and development of patient care.
You will deal with many distressed, anxious patients, including dental phobic patients and children on a daily basis. Therefore you will need to be able to put patients at ease very quickly in order to achieve the require radiographs.
