We have a HR Assistant vacancy within Workforce Services, in the People Resourcing team, based at Regent Point. This is a fast-paced administration role which requires strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Main duties of the job
The role of HR Assistant is to provide general administrative support in Workforce Services, across a broad range of staff-related transactional activity, including administration of employment processes, pay and conditions, policies and procedures and maintaining electronic staff records (ESR).
Experience of working in a HR department and knowledge of ESR is desirable.

- To provide generalist administrative support to the HR Workforce Teams across a broad range of staff-related transactional activity, including employment processes, pay and conditions, policies and procedures and maintaining electronic staff records.
- Provide general advice on policies and procedures to managers and staff.
- To undertake general administration clerical duties including completing letters, photocopying, scanning and filing and Data Input.
- To maintain and develop appropriate administrative systems/databases to support the smooth operation of the HR Workforce Teams.
- To process, input and check employee data in ESR system.
- To work flexibly and undertake other activities within the HR function as and when required.
- Ensure that confidentiality is maintained and that all NHS and local policies are adhered to at all times.
Please note it is a requirement of The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that all successful candidates who require a DBS for the post they have been offered pay for their DBS certificate.The method of payment is a salary deduction from your first months pay.
