We are looking to strengthen and enhance our Human Resources Team with the appointment of a motivated individual to work in a job share arrangement with a commitment to delivering a high quality customer-centred service.
Acting as Secretary to both the Head of Workforce Advisory Service and the Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, this role is one of a two person team providing support to them as well as working as part of a wider small team providing an efficient typing, administrative and secretarial service to senior staff and covering all aspects of administration for the Human Resources Services function.
Main duties of the job
You will also be providing general advice to staff and managers on basic terms and conditions of service, policy, procedure and practice.
You should possess RSA III Typewriting or have the equivalent experience. An understanding of a range of office procedures and practices is essential.
You should be proficient in the use of Microsoft office packages Word and Excel.
Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential, and you should be highly organised and self-motivated.
You will need a flexible approach to work and have the ability to work as part of a team
You should have the ability to work unsupervised, to be able to prioritise work as necessary, work well under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines on a daily basis, as well as the ability to multitask.
Knowledge of the Data Protection legislation, although not essential, is desirable.
