As part of the development of the management structure of the Cancer & Haematology Clinical Board we are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to join a nationally and internationally recognised centre of excellence in Cancer treatment care, in addition to having responsibility for the Trust's Corporate Cancer Nursing Team and Cancer Performance Team. The post holder will have experience in a senior manager role, significant knowledge of cancer services and a passion to deliver the highest quality services and outcomes to our patients.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible in ensuring sustainable and effective cancer care pathways through strategic and operational leadership, line management of service leads and members of the Board management team as well as working in conjunction with ICP, Northern Cancer Alliance, Provider Collaborative, Regional Foundation Trusts and Charitable organisations. The post holder will also deputise for the Director of Operations as required.

- Successful recent experience of leading and managing transformational change, and service redesign, including staff consultation and engagement.
- Able to demonstrate an understanding and experience of motivating people and transforming services.
- Demonstrable experience of business planning, and the production of comprehensive and complex business cases.
- Significant budgetary and staff management experience.
- Delivery of productivity improvements in conjunction with clinical and other colleagues.
- Experience in service marketing, promoting unique qualities of own service, and delivering a successful service strategy to capture market share.
