Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Administrator within Newcastle upon Tyne NHS Foundation trust to work closely with the Northern Radiology Academy's (NRAD) Education team.

NRAD Academy delivers and supports the education and development activities to approximately 90 post graduate doctors in training within radiology in the North East and Cumbria and approximately 5,000 doctors and allied healthcare professionals within the region who got different roles within the education structure of the region.

To enable us to meet the future needs for our services we are seeking a passionate and inspirational colleague who has the relevant experience and capabilities to deliver outstanding performance, and who is able to contribute to the development requirements of the academy and the organisation as a whole.

We are looking to appoint a Clinical Administrator who will act as the first point of contact for a range of education and learning activities and will undertake all administrative processes relating to the delivery of a professional, customer focused education and learning service for the academy.

Main duties of the job

The Clinical Administrator will act as first point of contact for a range of education and learning activities. The post holder will undertake all administrative processes relating to the delivery of a professional, customer focused Education and Learning service for the academy.

They will support the production of timely and accurate workforce/performance information.

Liaise with key stakeholders in order to deliver the key requirements and objectives.

Communicate with trainers, doctors and allied health professionals in training to ensure a streamlined and professional approach.

The Clinical Administrator will also be responsible for maintaining stock levels and the procuring of consumables and equipment as necessary.

The post holder must be an effective communicator and be able to receive and send information effectively. Assist in the production of presentation material, learning packs and course programmes, making adjustments to plans where required.

It is important that the successful candidate can work independently and also be part of a very busy team, as well as be able to apply critical thinking skills and generate ideas and solutions whilst adhering to the agreed processes and standards of delivery to ensure that the department meets the required targets.
