Job summary
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic therapist to work within the Acute Paediatric Speech and Language Therapy team to develop a service for children with oncology and neuro-oncology conditions as well as work with the wider Acute and Neuroscience caseload. This includes inpatients, outpatient clinics and the Newcastle community caseload of children with complex needs. This is a great opportunity for someone to develop highly specialist skills and establish speech & language therapy as a major part of the Oncology and Neuro-oncology teams.

Main duties of the job
To assess, diagnose and manage children and young people with developmental speech, language and swallowing problems. To work with hospital teams at both the Royal Victoria Infirmary and Freeman Hospital. To be a member of out -patient teams and to carry a community caseload.
