We are excited to offer this opportunity to lead our team of Clinical Psychologists within Tyneside Integrated Musculoskeletal Service (TIMS0 and to enablethe successful candidate to develop their existing clinical and leadership skills in a forward thinking dynamicand effectiveservice.
TIMSis an integrated primary and secondary carepartnership between Newcastle and Gateshead Hospitals NHS Foundation Trusts providing access toinformation, assessment and interventions designed for and with people witharange ofmusculoskeletal and pain conditions. This includes evidence based interventions for people with long-term or persistent musculoskeletal and neuropathic pain, and fibromyalgia,based on a biopsychosocial model. The service has a well-established multi-disciplinary team comprising Clinical Psychologists, Consultants in Pain Medicine and Specialist Physiotherapists. Clinicians provide one to one and group based interventions with CBT, ACT and Mindfulness frameworks to help peopleadapt anddevelop a better quality of life.
Access to specialist psychologyinterventionsand support to address self-managementincluding addressinglow mood and trauma, often in adverse social circumstances,isvalued asan essential element ofthe service.
Main duties of the job
Psychologists in TIMS provide direct clinical assessments and interventions for patients with complex needs. As Lead Clinical Psychologist you will work with clinical leads in primary and secondary care to deliverpsychologically informed care,service improvement projects and service based research.

- Is expected to take delegated responsibility for aspects of service delivery from the Consultant Clinical or Neuropsychologist and deputise in the absence of the Consultant Clinical or Neuropsychologist.
