Assistant Psychologist (37.5 hours, Fixed-Term Contract - One Year). Does the idea of bringing high-quality care and innovation to the heart of CAMHS excite you? If so, we could be just what you're looking for. The CAMHS Outpatient team provide varied and bespoke interventions for children and young people experiencing difficulties with their mental health. The team has expertise from many disciplines and we are proud of the strong working relationships within the team. The young people you will be working with are likely to present with neurodiversity, emotional dysregulation, trauma histories and high-risk behaviours. The team is committed to offering psychologically-informed support to ensure the best possible care. Good supervision from a clinical psychologist will be in place to support you in the role. Across the service there is a trust-wide AP support group, as well as a rolling programme of CAMHS training to ensure your growth. There is ongoing work across the Trust to embed anti-racism across services to ensure they are accessible, effective and safe places for the diverse communities we serve. Main duties of the job

You will be involved in, amongst other things: Support the Duty Team in completing psychosocial reviews of a young persons needs within CAMHS. Assess and manage risk and signpost appropriately. Bring complex case discussions to MDT meetings and share your formulations. Hold a therapeutic caseload under supervision and provide appropriate psychological interventions. Overseeing routine screening and outcome measures within the service - creating systems and databases to facilitate this and supporting MDT colleagues with interpreting outcome data. Conducting case note reviews to inform comprehensive assessments. Developing resources to support clinical work. Supporting formulation within the teams. Liaising with CAMHS colleagues and external agencies. Contributing to audit, research and service development projects

After 12 months, the post may be extended at 3 month intervals, due to the current financial climate.
