Job summary
To have responsibility for the collation and maintenance of IT system and Smartcard access within the customer base of the Health Informatics Service and Leicestershire Partnership Trust.
This post will be essential in ensuring that all Trusts supported by the HIS have the correct and appropriate IT system access and Smartcard access for their employees.
To ensure the security of sensitive information handled and to ensure that the checking of required security documentation is completed for all Registration Authority work to the required standard.
The role must ensure that services provided by HIS are customer focussed, adhere to agreed standards and service levels and provided in a safe and secure manner.

Main duties of the job
To manage and support the creation, removal, and migration of user accounts within both shared and home drives, ensuring proper access control and file management. This includes coordinating and executing user account transitions, maintaining data integrity, and ensuring compliance with access policies.
Establishing Effective Leadership and Communication To manage all Registration Authority duties which includes, creating new smartcards, replacing, renewing, repairing & unlocking both physical & virtual smartcards.
To support general troubleshooting queries - Provide timely IT support for Smartcards, User Accounts, and VPNs, ensuring prompt resolution of technical issues.
Responsibilities include managing account access, resolving Smartcard and VPN problems, identifying root causes, and implementing solutions within defined SLAs.
To create, remove, manage & resolve NHS Mail issues. To attend client sites as required to perform Registration Authority (smartcard) duties of the role.
