We have an exciting opportunity for a part time flexible, enthusiastic and committed Physiotherapist to work in our Community Integrated Neurology and Stroke Service (CINSS).

The successful candidate will join a specialist multi-professional team which provides patient centred, goal directed specialist neuro-rehabilitation in community and outpatient settings.

You will have experience of working in stroke & neurology, previous community experience is desirable but not essential.

You will work alongside highly skilled MDT clinical staff & will be supported by a Specialist Physio. We will provide you with a structured support network, regular supervision, appraisals & a comprehensive induction package. There will be opportunities to learn & attend external training.

This role will be predominantly covering the East of Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland (LLR), however as CINSS is a countywide service there is an expectation to cover across the whole of LLR when required.

The base for this role will be either Melton Mowbray, Market Harborough or Leicester, this will be agreed with the successful candidate on appointment.

The post is 28 hours a week, the core service hours are 8:00-17:00 Monday to Friday & there is flexibility regarding how these hours are worked across these days/times.

Please note, a valid driving licence & access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential.

Main duties of the job

  • To work as a specialist clinician to utilise, develop and enhance Physiotherapy clinical and professional skills within the service to deliver high standards of practice.
  • To provide specialist Physiotherapy assessment and treatment to patients within a multi-disciplinary format in clinical care pathways.
  • To take a lead in developing the service. This involves promoting high quality clinical practice and ensuring professional standards are maintained in the workplace.
  • To deliver a specialist Physiotherapy service to patients within a variety of settings, requiring flexibility/adaptability in recognising the complexity of these environments to maximise their abilities and opportunities for occupational wellbeing.
