We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Public Health Nurse (Health Visitor) to join our Healthy Together Helpline team. Youll support the delivery of our single point of access service for 019 (Leicester City) and 011 (Leicestershire & Rutland).
This is a clinical, office-based role delivering aspects of the Healthy Child Programme via telephone, text, and digital services. While we support agile working, you must work at least 50% of contracted hours from the office to ensure safe service delivery.

Main duties of the job
Main Duties of the Job: As a Public Health Nurse (Health Visitor), you will be making a real difference to people's lives in the Community: -Answering telephone calls from parents, young people and professionals into the Helpline, using ignite telephone system. Offering support for queries such as minor illnesses, infant feeding, emotional wellbeing, behaviour etc. Completing agency checks and participating in virtual safeguarding meetings. -Contribute to the assessment of antenatal contacts, including completing antenatal contacts by telephone. -Contribute to the triage of A&E attendances and hospital discharges within agreed Trust guidelines, following up priority and potentially vulnerable children, young people and families. -Responding to parents and young people who are contacting Healthy Together via the ChatHealth text messaging system. -Maintain accurate electronic patient records. -Participate in supervision and maintain professional accountability. -Liaison with other members of 0-19/0-11 public health teams to handover or co-ordinate care of children or young people.
