Job summary

Join our Community Health Services team as a Senior Business Assistant, providing high-level support to the Head of Nursing, Allied Health Professionals and Quality and their teams.

This role involves managing complex diaries, coordinating key meetings, and delivering efficient administrative support in a fast-paced environment. You'll need proven experience in senior admin or secretarial roles, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with accuracy and discretion.

Strong communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and the ability to prioritise under pressure are essential. Experience in audio typing and minute-taking is desirable.

The post offers agile working with a base at County Hall, home working, and occasional travel to LPT sites (free parking provided).

You must hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to a car that can be used for work purposes.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide high-level administrative support to managers, including managing correspondence, preparing documents, and minute-taking for critical meetings.
  • Coordinate schedules, arrange meetings, and manage diaries with efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Act as the first point of contact for the management team, ensuring communication is clear, professional, and timely.
  • To manage the email correspondence of the allocated individuals or team, reading and responding on their behalf where appropriate and supporting them with the prioritisation of correspondence and responses.
  • Assist in project coordination, ensuring deadlines are met and resources are effectively allocated.
  • Maintain and improve organisational systems to enhance productivity and service delivery.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating diplomacy and professionalism at all times.
  • Handle confidential information with the utmost discretion.
