Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist to join our team to lead on the assessment, diagnosis, advice and intervention with children and young people being assessed for neuro-developmental conditions and to lead on the facilitation of on-going collaboration between CAMHS and community paediatrics.
The successful applicant will be based within our CAMHS services, but provide clinical input and assessment withing the ND pathway across both CAMHs and community paediatric services.
This post is for 37.5 hours per week, working Monday-Friday. We work flexibly in accordance with the LPT Flexible Working policy to meet the needs of the service. We offer hybrid working, with face to face clinical contact in a clinic setting. Please note that this role requires a full driving licence and access to a car during working hours.

Main duties of the job
The job purpose will be to:
To provide highly specialist assessment, diagnosis and advice on intervention approaches consistent with professional standards to children and young people with Neurodevelopmental Conditions. The role will include providing specialist psychological, including diagnostic assessments, reports, development of formulations, and implementation of psychological interventions within the scientist-practitioner framework.
To draw upon an extensive knowledge of psychological theory in order to interpret complex information and communicate this to others in an accessible way. To work with others including multi-disciplinary and multi-agency colleagues, and provision of specialist advice and consultancy as required.
You will work with the Senior Educational Psychologist to creatively operationalise the LPTs strategic vision for a Neurodiversity team through service processes including assessment, awareness raising, training, robust evaluation measures, ensuring a co-ordinated response across the LPT and with other relevant settings such as schools.
