We are pleased to be able to offer the opportunity for experienced Health Care Assistants to come and join our expanding teams on our Adult Acute Inpatients wards and Forensic Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit within the Directorate of Mental Health.
Our Mental Health Services provide voluntary and in-voluntary short-term in-patient management and treatment during an acute phase of mental illness, until the person has recovered enough to be treated effectively and safely in the community.
The vacancies that we have are distributed across various wards at the Bradgate Mental Health Unit in Glenfield and the following information tells you a little bit more about the wards: We currently have vacancies within 5 of our Adult Acute wards and each ward provides care and treatment for individuals experiencing acute mental health illnesses.
- Beaumont Ward 22 beds, mixed gender
- Watermead Ward 20 beds, mixed gender
- Heather Ward 18 beds, female only
- Ashby Ward 14 beds, female only
- Bosworth Ward 14 beds, male only
- Psychiatric Intensive Care Units (FPICU) are specialised wards that provide inpatient mental health care, assessment and comprehensive treatment to individuals who are experiencing the most acutely disturbed phase of a serious mental disorder.

Please note that the Healthcare Assistants work a rota system of Long Days (12 hr shifts) Day and Night covering a 7-day working week.
We can offer Part time and Full time posts, however the minimum you will be required to work is 23 hours per week. These are also permanent roles not bank roles and we are unable to offer sponsorship.
