Job summary
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Receptionist/Admin Assistant to join the CAMHS Learning Disability Team within the directorate of Families, Young Peoples, Children's, Learning Disability and Autism (FYPCLDA).
The post is very varied and will include taking telephone calls from a wide range of people, welcoming visitors, patients & their families to the building inputting data onto the electronic patient record (SystmOne), booking patient appointments and providing admin support to the staff in the clinical team.

Main duties of the job
The post involves reception cover, including answering the door to visitors, patients, contractors; taking telephone calls regarding a wide range of queries including patient appointments, referrals, general queries; health, safety and security issues.
Ensuring that patient records are kept up-to-date with communications and all relevant information is scanned onto their record.
Supporting the clinical and nursing staff with their administrative duties; photocopying and monitoring of incoming emails and referrals.
You'll need to remain calm under pressure and be able to prioritise, and there will be contact with patients and relatives and members of the public.
Other duties include reporting health, safety and security issues to Estates and monitoring their progress.
The ideal candidate will have a "can do" attitude and flexibility to cover colleagues, and sometimes provide cover at alternative bases.
