Job summary

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Community Hub Coordinator to support our teams and service users, within Community Health Services for Nursing and Therapy based primarily at Melton Mowbray Hospital. You will also be required to work from our other bases in Rutland Memorial Hospital in Oakham and Syston Health Centre in Syston as and when required.

Our service operates 08.00 to 18.00, Monday to Sunday, therefore this post requires the candidate to be fully flexible and be able to cover all shifts (including weekends and bank holidays, these shifts attract enhancements).

Main duties of the job

You will need to demonstrate good communication skills and be able to work independently in a variety of community settings. You will need a flexible approach and the ability to work as part of a team and to use your own initiative.

In addition to general administrative duties, the role will include using the electronic patient record system (SystmOne), completing electronic referrals, tasks and assisting where appropriate with data collection for audit purposes, data entry, together with supporting Core Community Nursing and Therapy staff, Team Leads and clinicians, ordering and monitoring of equipment and stores.

You will need to be a good team player, with excellent organisational and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Good overall education including minimum GCSE grade C or above in English and maths, or equivalent qualification.
  • NVQ level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent.

Experience

  • Experience of working in the NHS or similarly complex organisation.
  • Experience of working in an environment that delivers customer service.
  • Significant experience in dealing with changing administration demands.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience in an administrative/clerical role.
  • IT literate.
  • Experience of working with electronic records, e.g., SystmOne, databases, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and the internet.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Ability to establish and maintain verbal communication.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
