The Community Health Services (CHS) directorate within Leicestershire Partnership Trust provides services across several community hospitals, in a wide range of other community settings and in patients homes, all managed through a single point of access.
At a system level, CHS plays a crucial role in neighbourhood working, ensuring the right care, in the right place at the right time. If patients do require acute hospital admission, we are responsible for ensuring discharge to LPT inpatient settings where required, and subsequently back into services delivered in patients own homes or residential / nursing homes.
This work is complex, requires teams to think beyond traditional organisational boundaries and requires leadership that can effectively engage and work with other systems partners.
We are looking for an experienced senior healthcare leader, with outstanding leadership skills and confidence to drive performance and transformation in a complex environment, to deliver high-quality outcomes and experiences for patients and staff.
The successful candidate will have shown that they are an effective, visible, and approachable leader who has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both within and across organisational boundaries.

Main duties of the job
- Working alongside the CHS Associate Medical Director, Head of Nursing, and AHP Lead, the Deputy Director will, with the support of the Directorate Leadership Team, be accountable for the strategic leadership of health service delivery and the effective governance of the diverse range of clinical services provided in CHS. These include adult community bed-based services and adult community and specialist services.
- Specifically, the post holder will be responsible for providing high level operational and strategic direction, planning and leadership to ensure that the Directorate provides high quality clinical care, which is safe and achieves its performance and financial objectives.
- The post holder will be accountable for what our service users experience and say about our services and what our staff say.
- The post holder will foster productive and positive internal and external relationships to enhance care delivery.
