This is a permanent role within the CAMHS Eating Disorders outpatients service and requires thinking on your feet and a can-do attitude towards tasks.
We are seeking to recruit a qualified, enthusiastic specialist dietitian who is interested in CAMHS Eating Disorders. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary specialist team. The successful applicant will support the multidisciplinary team in delivering the latest evidence based dietetic support to clients , carers and families of children and young people who access the service. Main duties of the job
The post holder will play a crucial role in providing specialised dietary assessment, treatment and support to Paediatric Eating Disorder clients and carers under the care of Mental Health Consultants within Leicestershire Partnership Trust (LPT).
Working within a multi-disciplinary team, the post holder will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to meet the unique nutritional needs of each patient.
The role involves education, ongoing monitoring to promote healthy eating habits and restore nutritional balance and support long-term recovery from eating disorders. This role will work closely with the Specialist ARFID Dietitian, covering as appropriate.
Main duties of the job
- To act as an independent practitioner for a highly specialist clinical caseload.
- To use highly developed communication skills for patients/carers and the team.
- To develop effective working relationships across all agencies.
- To provide expert assessment, and advice to patients and carers, providing evidence based highly specialised nutritional care plans.
- To act as a source of highly specialist information and advice on current best practice in mental health dietetics for colleagues, other health care professionals and clinicians.
- To work with patients with complex needs, including communication impairment and lack of capacity.
A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential for this role.
