Are you an enthusiastic Band 6 Specialist Mental Health Occupational Therapists, or highly experienced B5 occupational therapists with the relevant skills and knowledge who are looking for their next steps in your career?
You need a high level of autonomy, working predominantly within patients own homes/ environments and community settings, as well as utilising phone and video appointments.
We offer a blended approach to working and you will be supported to work from home as well as at an office base, depending on team and patient need.
We are a committed and friendly OT team, providing specialist OT input within the CMHT's and working with neighbourhoods across LLR. Within our team, there are also many CPD opportunities available, with recent team training in different occupation focussed models and assessments such as Allens Cognitive Disability Model and Sensory Integration, as well as other OT specific in-service training and development opportunities.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the Trusts values in everything you do in the work environment and live up the LPT Pledge, being responsible in the use and expenditure of the Trusts resources that you utilise, and be able to deliver Effective Healthcare within the organisation

You must be able to establish therapeutic relationships with people to support their recovery journey through thorough assessment, collaborative goal setting, intervention planning and delivery.
You will delegate appropriate tasks / interventions to other members of the OT team, monitoring their work and supporting them to enhance their skills, competencies, and confidence.
You will have strong engagement and motivational skills and be flexible in working with patients with severe and enduring complex mental health needs.
You will clinically supervise junior members of staff and you will also be provided with professional and management supervision.
