Job summary
We are excited to introduce a new role into our Leicestershire Partnership and Northamptonshire Healthcare Associate University Group. The Group Director of Children and Young Peoples Services will lead improvements in health outcome for children and young people across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland and Northamptonshire.
Priorities for CYP are increasing across both systems and the implementation of a Group role will help accelerate learning, delivery and new ways of working. This joint role will support a focus on maximising opportunities and potential for CYP for our separate, but very connected organisations.
We are ambitious in our focus to continue building strong population health management into our practice, whilst maintaining the excellent work and shared progress achieved so far, across our Group and with our partners in both systems. We actively lead in both systems, striving to develop pathways and services through collaborative working.
We are looking for a very special person to work as part of our executive teams; a strong leader who can make a significant contribution within each Trust, across our Group and the wider system.

Main duties of the job
Working alongside the Assistant/Deputy Medical Directors, you will provide leadership and management of the Childrens and Young People (CYP) Care pathways within NHFT and the Family, Young People, Childrens and Learning Disability and Autism (FYPCLDA) Directorate at LPT.
Working as part of the Executive team at LPT and the Operational Directors Team at NHFT you will be responsible and accountable for:
- Providing demonstrable and visible leadership across the Directorates and clinical services.
- Delivery of quality services around the core dimensions of safety, effectiveness and patient experience.
- Working with others, contribute to the development of strategic plans in line with overall Trusts strategy.
- Performance management of all services in line with local and national performance targets and standards.
- Ensuring clinical engagement, taking responsibility for good governance, safety and risk management.
- Taking a commercial and business approach to services which recognises and adapts to the needs of our population.
- Bring together teams across the Group to work collectively and collaboratively to ensure the delivery of shared learning.
- Deliver the Trusts commitments to service users and carers, staff and partners.
- Being proactive in ensuring that safety, effectiveness and patient experience and a corporate approach is at the forefront in dealing with any issues.
- To work to and promote the values of both Trusts.
