We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and dynamic Band 6 Mental Health Nurse to join our dedicated team at The Bradgate Mental Health Unit.
This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop your clinical and leadership skills while delivering high-quality, person-centred care to individuals experiencing mental health difficulties. The post holder will support the Charge Nurse in the day-to-day running of the ward, taking charge in their absence, and ensuring the highest standards of clinical care and patient experience are maintained. You will also play a vital role in developing junior staff and students, promoting a supportive learning environment.

Deputise and take charge of the designated area in the absence of the Charge Nurse.
Be a role model in delivering compassionate, person-centred care and support a culture of kindness, safety, and respect.
Mentor, teach, supervise and assess students and learners on placement.
Support the ongoing education and development of nursing staff.
Work collaboratively with senior nurses, the wider multidisciplinary team, and external stakeholders to promote excellent mental health care and develop the role of specialist nursing across the Trust.
Provide visible, professional nursing leadership, clinical advice, and management relating to key dimensions of healthcare quality: Patient Safety Effectiveness of Health Care Interventions Patient Experience Quality of the Care Environment
Support effective clinical leadership and contribute to the operational management of the ward.
Actively contribute to continuous quality improvement, service development, and the implementation of evidence-based practice to meet the needs of service users and their families.
