Job summary

The CAMHS Crisis Team work across three sites, the Urgent Care Hub at the Bradgate Mental Health Unit, Children's ED at the Leicester Royal Infirmary and the Valentine Centre in Beaumont Leys.
We offer support to young people and their families/carers across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland who are experiencing a mental health crisis.
The CAMHS Crisis Team are seeking to recruit experienced practitioners from a variety of disciplines including nursing, social work, and occupational therapy.
We support our patients on a 24/7 basis, so you will be required to work day and night shifts on a rotational basis including weekends and bank holidays.
There are opportunities for staff to work on a flexible basis in accordance with LPT policies.

Main duties of the job
- To undertake comprehensive assessments, clinical formulation and brief intervention for young people that present in crisis, ensuring you support the young person to be heard, validated, and understood.
- Be responsible for the effective delivery of care of the young person under home treatment taking on the role of lead professional.
- Be able to assess, interpret and implement treatment plans of children and young peoples conditions, developing, implementing, and evaluating specialist packages of care, including the involvement of multi-agency input around the children and young peoples needs.
- Make the right judgements that will improve the treatment outcomes for the child, young person and their families as well as enhance resilience and recovery and reduces risks to themselves or others.
You will need to have your own transport or suitable alternative as dependence on public transport is not suitable for this role.
