Job summary
It is an exciting time to join Community Mental Health services as we are developing our neighbourhood teams which will test new ways of providing mental health interventions for adults with severe mental illness and complex needs.
As part of the new neighbourhood team development, services are exploring options to deliver services over 7 days.
We are looking for 1 experienced clinician to join us as Band 7 Team Lead to manage and take overall responsibility for care quality performance and clinical activity for the community team within Mental Health for Older People (MHSOP). This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who has a wealth of experience in nursing and management and want to help make a significant change in the community with the aim of helping older people improve their quality of life and avoid unplanned hospital admissions. You will be able to do this by using knowledge of health and social services available in the locality including those services offered by the community and voluntary sector, to link people up with these and help them overcome any barriers they might encounter. With your team you will also help to provide a comprehensive, efficient and effective support service to the wider multi-disciplinary team supported by an agreed work plan.
This role will be covering Oadby and Wigston.
Main duties of the job
For this role you must demonstrate both nursing and management experience as well as have excellent communication and organisational skills with a drive to make a positive impact within the team and this community group.
