Job summary
The Community Integrated Neurology and Stroke Service (CINSS) is looking for an experienced Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist to join our team in a senior role.
As the Operational Service Lead you will provide senior operational leadership and management to CINSS in Leicester/Leicestershire and Rutland. This will include complex staff and work planning to ensure the service provided by the team is safe and effective, with high levels of patient satisfaction and to take action quickly and appropriately where evidence indicates this is not the case.
You will lead and monitor the service waiting time performance improvements and deliver the project improvement actions.
You will be responsible for enabling CINSS to realise its aims and objectives through effective performance of local teams.
You will lead SEIPS investigations, complaints and SI investigations in the service.
You will work closely with the Clinical Service Manager to achieve the vision for CINSS and deputise as required.

Main duties of the job
- To ensure robust systems are in place that assures the quality and safety of all aspects of the service you are responsible for, including compliance with CQC requirements.
- To ensure continuous performance improvement using quality improvement methodologies within the service to improve waiting times performance.
- To plan and implement service and system changes to meet all key performance indicators and maintain effective performance reporting processes.
- Work collaboratively with facilities to ensure all aspects of facilities management meet service requirements.
- Develop systems and processes to increase patient and public involvement in developing the service.
- To work with the Service Manager and others as appropriate to develop and plan the strategic direction of the service including contributing to the business planning process.
- To keep abreast of and translate national and local policy/strategy into practice and implement education and training programmes to effect change.
- To establish and maintain standards of practice and ensure all CINSS staff within your team (including admin and clerical) are competent to undertake their role through ongoing training and development.
- Promote, focus on and support continuous personal and professional development and leadership skills in the workforce, providing assurance that the clinicians within your team have the appropriate clinical skills for their role.
