Job summary
Job Overview To further develop students ability to assess and manage patients with complex frailty and /or multiple co-morbidities outside of an acute hospital setting. To equip students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. To develop students awareness of primary, community, mental health, secondary and social care services and how they collaborate and work together with voluntary sector organisations to care for patients outside of an acute hospital
Main duties of the job
Provide 3-4 teaching sessions per academic block during university term time, each Tuesday session will be 3 hours teaching plus 1 hour preparation time. You will facilitate small group teaching sessions, the learning materials are developed to ensure consistency between tutors and education providers. Enable students to achieve the learning objectives providing constructive feedback Contribute to writing exam questions. Work in partnership with other GPs to ensure the sessions in each block are covered Provide academic and pastoral care and feed back concerns about student experience or welfare Report to the Medical School on professional concerns
