Job Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and dedicated pharmacist to lead the development of our Neighbourhood Mental Health pharmacy services across the Trust. As a key member of our senior management team, you will oversee and manage the Lead Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians within our Neighbourhood teams.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape and develop community pharmacy services across LPT. The role requires networking, driving innovation in mental health medicines optimisation, and working collaboratively with stakeholders. Your efforts will span the interface of inpatient and community services, ensuring seamless care transitions and improved patient outcomes.

An independent prescribing qualification and a post-graduate qualification in psychiatric pharmacy or substantial relevant experience in mental health are essential for this role.

This post is essential for the delivery of a modern, specialist mental health service across the primary-secondary care interface in the health community.

You will be the strategic lead for the Pharmacy provision across Neighbourhood Mental Health Teams. You will oversee a team of Pharmacists and Technicians across LLR, ensuring the medicine related needs of service users living in the community with complex mental health needs are met.

In the role you will use your experience, skills and initiative to develop, co-ordinate and provide a high-quality clinical pharmacy service to community based patients and their carers within Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT).

You will be an expert in psychiatric therapeutics and provide a specialist referral point for all health and social care professionals working within the neighbourhood teams.
