Job summary

Would you like to work in a rewarding role within a supportive and dynamic team ? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Assistant to join the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services working in the Learning Disability Team.

This diverse role will be providing comprehensive administrative support to the Consultant Psychiatrist along with other members of the multi-disciplinary team and line management of designated administration staff.

We are looking for a forward thinking, enthusiastic and committed individua with excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, who is able to demonstrate the Trust values whilst carrying out the duties required in the role.

The successful candidate will be able to manage a varied workload, have excellent communication skills and be able to manage their time in order to meet tight deadlines as well as experience of supervision/line management of staff.

The post is based at Rothesay on London Road, Leicester, LE2 2PL

Main duties of the job

  • Line Management of designated Administration staff within the team including conducting 1:1s, appraisals, absence monitoring and performance management.
  • Providing an effective, efficient, and high-quality support service to the Consultant Psychiatrist and other members of the multi-disciplinary team Management of diaries and tasks for designated clinical staff including scheduling meetings, booking outpatient appointments.
  • Responding to and taking appropriate action on clinicians behalf of designated tasks and supporting them with prioritisation of correspondence.
  • Using your initiative to solve problems and deal with queries from within the team and from patient families and external organisations.
  • Effective prioritisation of your own and the administrative teams workload.
  • Ordering of supplies and IT equipment and overseeing the petty cash for the team Disseminating Trust and department information to the Learning Disability Team Preparing agenda, minuting and circulating information for the LD Operational Meeting.
