An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Physiotherapist to join our large, innovative community based team working across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland as part of our Childrens Therapy Team.

This a full-time post, however part time would be considered (minimum of 22.5 hours). The Childrens Physiotherapy Service seeks to provide a high quality service to children and young people, aged 0-19 years and their families in the community; their home, nurseries and schools.

We work across three pathways; Early Years, Complex Disability & Physical Disability and the children and young people will present with a wide range of difficulties relating to neuro disability.

Main duties of the job

You will need to demonstrate flexibility and initiative, to work as part of a Multi-disciplinary and Multi Agency Team.

You will need to be able to manage your time effectively with a designated caseload as well as being required to support other members of the team.

You will have a strong programme of support and supervision to continue to develop your Physiotherapy skills with children and young people.

We encourage continuous professional development through both internal and external training.

You need to be able to demonstrate an understanding of working in a community setting, the complexities of working within a family and a multidisciplinary, multi-agency environment, be familiar with childrens equipment and its use and be skilled in the delivery of a number of assessment tools and interventions used by physiotherapists in community childrens services.

To work as a specialist clinician to utilise, develop and enhance Physiotherapy clinical and professional skills within Community Paediatrics to deliver high standards of practice.

To provide specialist Paediatric Physiotherapy assessment and treatment to patients within a multidisciplinary format in clinical care pathways.

Car owner/driver essential as it is unlikely that public transport will meet the needs of this job.
