Job summary
The post holder will be responsible for managing a caseload of complex patients and providing consultation and supervision to the team. Assessment of new referrals and liaison and consultation with other services (both within and external to the Trust) with respect to co-morbid presentations (medical and psychiatric) will be integral to the role. They will provide input to all parts of the service in agreement and collaboration with their consultant colleagues and the team managers. Substantive consultants also act as clinical supervisors to junior doctors on a rotating basis and other members of the team as appropriate.
Main duties of the job
The post would appeal to anyone who has an established interest in eating disorders or who has training in General Adult Psychiatry or Psychotherapy and is interested in working within eating disorders. As experienced Eating disorder consultants are in post in the service, mentorship and supervision are available.
