Inpatient Health Care Assistant - Leicester

Job summary

We are looking for Health Care Assistants who can contribute to the care of our patients with kindness, compassion and empathy on Beechwood Ward at the Evington Centre in the grounds of Leicester General Hospital. These wards provide sub-acute care, palliative care and complex rehabilitation.

The ward is led by nurses and you will work under their guidance as part of a very supportive team. You will be required to complete the Care Certificate if you do not already hold this and we actively encourage on-going development. The post will provide cover on a rota basis over a 24 hour per day, 7 day a week service.

Main duties of the job

Undertaking clinical observations and providing clinical care as delegated.

Supporting our patients in maintaining their health, well-being and independence.

Providing personal care.

Accurately recording patient information.

Working collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families.
