Job summary
We are rapidly expanding our Neurodevelopmental offer to the children and young people of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR) and now Leicestershire Partnership Trust (LPT) have the fabulous opportunity to grow our team to positively impact the experience for children, young people and their families.
This post is part of the ongoing The Neurodevelopment (ND) Improvement Programme that has set out to improve the outcomes of children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) by identifying the resources committed to their diagnosis and care, agreeing opportunities for improvement and implementing new delivery, finance and workforce models.
Successful candidates will be joining an ambitious and passionate multi-disciplinary team of clinical and administrative colleagues feeding into the ND programme. Post holders will need to have the skills and character to consistently deliver high quality care and work creatively at pace with colleagues with our CYP and families at the centre.

Main duties of the job
The successful applicants will be at the core of the exciting work and improvements for our local population; working to make a significant impact to reducing the waiting list and improving access to support for CYP.
- To support and enhance the professional psychological care of service users with the Neurodevelopmental Service
- To assist in conducting audits, literature reviews, collecting data, employing statistics to analyse data, development of audit and/or research projects, teaching and project work.
- The post holder will be expected to develop and maintain databases of information relating to these projects.
- To provide standardised psychological assessment and intervention under the clinical supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist.
- Work to be closely supervised by a qualified clinical psychologist and goals to be agreed and reviewed at intervals.
- The post requires the provision of psychological assessments and interventions agreed by and under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist.
- There is a requirement to undertake mandatory training as listed on ULearn.
- The post holder needs to be aware of risk, and to assess/manage this dynamic risk, on an ongoing basis.
