Job summary

Leicestershire Health Informatics Service are currently seeking an ideal candidate who possesses strong technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills to handle a variety of hardware, software, and network issues. The candidate should have a solid understanding of networking concepts.

In addition to technical expertise, effective communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for this role. The candidate should be able to work well with others and independently, while also being able to motivate themselves and their colleagues.

The ability to plan, organise, and prioritise work is essential, as is the ability to adapt and be flexible based on work priorities and SLAs.

The candidate should also have the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner to users with varying levels of technical knowledge.

Physical fitness is required for this position, as it involves carrying and transferring IT equipment without assistance.

The candidate should be able to participate on the on-call rota and work weekends when required.

Have a full UK driving licence and access to a car are required for this role.

  • Educated to degree level in an IT related subject or equivalent technical experience.
  • Qualified to A Level / BTEC / HNC / HND with a high proportion of content relevant to the job role or equivalent experience.
  • At least one qualification in an IM&T related industry qualification at entry level. e.g. (Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, ITIL Foundation, Comp TIA A+, Comp TIA Network +, MCSE. MOS etc)
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Expertise and technical knowledge working with Windows Operating systems and Microsoft Products (Windows 10/11, MS Teams, Office 365, etc)
