An exciting
opportunity has arisen to join a fast paced, friendly, and committed team as a Business
Assistant supporting the School Aged Immunisation Service. The service offers
vaccinations to children and young people across Leicester, Leicestershire and
Rutland predominately in schools.
We are looking for
someone who has excellent communication and organisational skills and a proven
ability in using your own initiative, showing attention to detail and the
ability to work accurately.
The various
programmes delivered can be intense, highly complex and rapidly evolving.
Ensuring that the session is appropriately planned with the school and that the
right workforce is deployed effectively will be a key requirement to the
services success.

The post is
Monday-Friday, based 30 hours a week on annualised hours.
We are currently
based at Bridge Park Plaza in Thurmaston, but will be moving to County Hall in
Spring 2024.
Main duties of the job

Ability to plan, organise and prioritise the
diaries and workload of self and others (aligned manager) without direct
supervision, whilst working to meet deadlines

Support
with producing a schedule of activities for every academic year

Liaise
with schools to understand any issues and provide appropriate resolutions and a
bespoke customer service

Send
out communication for schools, parents/carers and other stakeholders and share
this via appropriate channels

Ensuring
that the clinical and administrative staffing levels comply with demand and
capacity modelling throughout the duration of the immunisation programme

Validation
and maintenance of staffing information

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office including
Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.

Experience of providing administration support and
assisting the managers in updating key documentation such databases and
spreadsheets.

skills, including taking accurate and informative notes/minutes, identifying,
and following up actions

- RQF (Previously NVQ) Business & Administration Level 3 or equivalent skills and knowledge
- City & Guilds Typewriting Level 2 or above, or can demonstrate equivalent skills
