Job summary
Due to promotion we have an exciting leadership opportunity in our Families, Young People, Childrens, Learning Disability & Autism (FYPC LDA) Directorate.
Our Service Group Managers provide senior leadership across groups of services. With the support of our commissioning colleagues the responsibilities of the Directorate team are expanding; embracing system leadership opportunities, strengthening our contribution to strategic planning, commissioning, programme management and service improvement.
Working as a key member of our award winning Learning Disability and Autism Collaborative, and the Directorates senior leadership team, the successful candidate will make a significant contribution to the delivery of our strategic plans for local Learning Disability and Autism services. Demonstrating inclusive communication and leadership behaviours, the Service Group Manager will ensure that we maximise our impact on the outcomes of families and local communities across LLR.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a skilled and committed leader with significant recent knowledge and experience of working across systems in partnership with other agencies. The strongest candidate will have a track record of delivering demonstrable quality improvements in the commissioning, delivery and improvement of Learning Disability and Autism services.
Key to the success of this role is the post holders ability to:
- deliver improvements in the quality and safety of services shaped by lived experiences, that positively impact the experience of our service users
- lead and co-ordinate the work of experienced and capable managers and clinicians
- ensure that our services are effectively delivered using sustainable approaches
- lead the delivery and evaluation of projects through others to ensure strategic plans are realised, ensuring robust arrangements are maintained to provide timely and comprehensive reporting for local and regional governance processes
- lead change that results in our services being increasingly accessible to all local communities
- work with large and diverse clinical teams to ensure regulatory requirements are met, assurance processes are strong and services are fully integrated with the work of our partners
- take a lead role in commissioning as part of the collaborative to ensure opportunities for improvement and service development
