Job summary
The Urgent Care pathway is the first contact for people with mental health services, especially when they are unwell. Were currently looking for a Band 3 Healthcare Support Worker to join us. We need experienced practitioners from a variety of disciplines including nursing, social work, and occupational therapy. The teams all work closely together with CRT and the Urgent Care Hub. Our aim is for everyone who has contact with our teams to have a smooth seamless experience of care.

The youth team supports young people from point of arrest identifying mental health needs, learning, speech, and communication needs and other vulnerabilities while in police custody and in the community.

Main duties of the job
The Role:
The role will include (but not be limited to):
Assisting the healthcare team in the provision and delivery of programmes of patient care under the indirect supervision of registered practitioners. This includes
Taking physical or psychological measurements from named clients/service users as delegated by the team
Supporting clients/service users in maintaining their health and wellbeing
Undertaking specified and delegated clinical and therapeutic activities
Under the supervision of healthcare professionals assist the healthcare team with the planning, organising and provision of clinical care
Successful candidates will:
Be able to meet the criteria of the Person Specification attached to this role
Be able to demonstrate an understanding of the importance of quality of care
Demonstrate skills in literacy, written, verbal and an ability to effectively use electronic information and computer technology.
Be able to demonstrate an understanding of the role of a Senior Healthcare Assistant
Be able to work under the direction of a registered practitioner
Have the ability to work efficiently, effectively and professionally in a multi- disciplinary team
Be capable of working under their own initiative
