Job summary

Due to career progression West Leicestershire AMH Planned Care & Treatment Team currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Band 7 Team Lead. This would be ideal for a motivated, friendly person already in a Team Lead post, or for an experienced Band 6 CPN looking for a new challenge.

It is an exciting time to join planned care & treatment as we progress and deliver transformation to provide Better Mental Health for all. The role will require the successful candidate to be an integral part of the transformation development within the team and take a strong and supportive leadership approach to the day to day running of the team, with robust support and supervision from the Team Manager.

Main duties of the job

We provide assessment and treatment interventions for patients 18-65 years old with severe and enduring mental illness, in a recovery focused way.

In this role you would work alongside a second Band 7 Team Lead to manage, organise and support the clinical day-to-day running of the team, whilst holding a reduced caseload of patients.

We are looking for people who:

Have an enthusiastic, can-do attitude.

Quick to respond and manage the everyday business of the team.

Able to prioritise patient safety and support the team to ensure safe practice and outcomes.

Enjoy leading by example by being a team player as well as being able to work on own initiative.

Have excellent record keeping skills.

Have a proven track record of previous experience at Band 6 level working with mental illness, either in an inpatient or community setting.

Are enthusiastic about quality improvement initiatives and have the ability to motivate positive change within a staff team.

Excellent communication skills, with staff, patients, and wider stake holders and services, both written and verbal.

An ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure when required.

The ability to manage the demands of a small caseload and excellent time management skills to effectively complete Band 7 tasks.
