This job is now closed

Job summary

If you have knowledge of the healthcare sector, we have a genuinely exciting opportunity to join our established team at The CAMHS Community Team in the heart of Leicester.

We have two 12-month fixed-term contracts available.

We support young people, their families and carers to access mental health services, working to reduce stigmatisation. We assist in identifying, prioritising, and meeting the needs of the young people within the service. We work co-operatively as part of the multi-disciplinary team to provide child focused, culturally competent services in an optimistic and non-stigmatising way.

We also support and develop the production of resources to increase the confidence in and reduce the stigma around mental health.

We deliver quality youth work, in a multi-cultural setting, with young people facing some of life's most challenging situations. You would be part of delivering the Leicestershire Partnership Trust vision to be a world-leading team providing world-leading care.

You will need your own transportation, public transport is not suitable for this role.

Main duties of the job

This hugely rewarding work involves a mixture of 1:1 engagement and small group work.

You will support vulnerable children and young people where there are multi-agency concerns about their ability to access emotional wellbeing and mental health support. We work closely in partnership with CAMHS, which could significantly enhance the young people's ability to reach their full potential.

You will support children and young people that access our acute settings and require support in accessing their local resources.

You will have proven ability to safeguard and support young people and work effectively in a multi-professional setting.
