Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic individuals to join our Phlebotomy service which is currently expanding. Our service operates 08.00 -16.00 Monday to Friday.
The Phlebotomy service provides venepuncture and near patient testing for housebound patients within our community, covering Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
We have full-time and part-time position's available covering Melton, Rutland and Oakham areas of Leicestershire.
Main duties of the job
You will need to be a good team player, with excellent organisational and communication skills, be able to work on your own initiative and prioritise your work effectively.
The primary responsibilities for the post holder would be to:
- Collect and process venous blood samples / various basic observations for house-bound community patients.
- Conducting INR / NPT within Trust policy and guidelines to house-bound community patients.
- Work autonomously, be a car driver and car owner.
The Phlebotomy Service uses an electronic patient record system called SystmOne and experience of working on this system would be advantageous, however the required training will be provided to successful candidates.
