Band 7 Senior Safeguarding Practitioner

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Senior Safeguarding Practitioner to be linked with the LPT Safeguarding Team.

The post will be based within the Social Care Safeguarding Hub with First Response and the Safeguarding Social Workers Team.

The primary focus of the job will be to support sharing of health needs from LPT information to the front door of the Local Authority. This would be for any young person from 11-18 years.

This post is to work collaboratively with the Leicestershire County Council Children and Families Services in line with Working Together Safeguarding responsibilities, making sure that health services are represented at strategy meetings and health information is available in safeguarding discussions as needed. Additionally this post will support the operation of the 11+ Health Service through the provision of relevant health information to support informed decision making and best outcomes for young people.

Interviews will be held on the 2nd October 2023.

Main duties of the job

To ensure the delivery of an effective safeguarding service which meets the needs of individuals, families and communities in line with local and national development plans, Trust policies and procedures.
