Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced band 5 physiotherapist looking to be supported into a band 6 role. We have an opportunity on our Leicester City based rehabilitation wards.

You will be a motivated and enthusiastic person to become part of an effective team, providing a high standard of clinical care to patients across various locations in Leicester and Leicestershire.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a Degree / Diploma in Physiotherapy.
  • Be registered with the HPC
  • Have relevant NHS experience either as a band 5
  • Have a broad base of knowledge and experience in the field of Physiotherapy.
  • Be able to prioritise and manage their own workload.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Have the ability to work sensitively and effectively with patients and their carers.
  • Be able to work well both individually and as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Have evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Be able to be flexible to meet the needs of the service.
  • The Trust offers a seven day week working pattern and flexible working patterns.
  • You will also have access to regular training and supervision.

Main duties of the job

To be responsible for providing a professional Physiotherapy service and carrying an agreed caseload under the supervision of Senior Physiotherapy staff.

To provide Physiotherapy assessment and treatment to patients within a multi-disciplinary format.

To deliver a Physiotherapy service to patients within a variety of settings, requiring flexibility/adaptability in recognising the complexity of these environments.
